Tips to curate your Instagram feed!

Ever looked at someone else’s Instagram profile and wished yours looked half as good? The secret is careful planning that makes an Instagram profile stand apart from the rest. Subtle changes like adopting a new color scheme or organizing your rows can help you gain more followers.

Here are some tips to curate your Instagram feed for that awesome look:

#1. Be Clear about your Style

Do you prefer soft photos to dark ones? Is there a particular trend that you like to follow? Deciding that is the first step to creating an “official vibe” of your feed. It will ensure that your profile has your unique style, and is cohesive and clean.

#2. Don’t hit that post button just yet

A blurry photo of you freaking out with your buddies might be hilarious, but is it Instagram-worthy? Probably not. If you’re trying to create a quality feed with stunning images, it might be a good idea to pass this one. Don’t post just for the sake of it – be a bit choosier with what you put out there.

#3. Pay attention to lighting

You don’t necessarily have to be a pro, but if you really want your photos to look great, lighting holds the key. Lighting, as well as editing, can make a world of difference to the look and feel of your Instagram feed.

#4. It’s not personal if it is business

If you have a separate account for your business, resist from posting personal pictures on it. It isn’t wise to mix personal and business – unless you happen to be a lifestyle blogger and want to share a little bit of everything. It’s best to keep these accounts separate to maintain their uniqueness.

#5. Post during busy hours

You can actually see when your followers are most active, thanks to Instagram that made this knowledge possible. Take a look at it and try to post around the time suggested by statistics. You can also post when most people tend to use Instagram – when they’re having lunch or are about to go to bed.

#6. Embrace empty spaces

Mixing media and prints might be good, but if you’ve got too much going on in photos near each other, it might look chaotic. At such times, throwing in a quieter photo or two can help your grid look clean and uncluttered. Plus, it adds a pop of color to your grid.
